Timmy first appears in the season 4 episode the Run Away.He is first seen as a seven year old boy who the Millers and the audience find out ran away from his poor old ill relatives believing that he is a financial burden to them, to the barn where he kept hidden until he was found by Jeff, Ellen and George. Ellen contacts the boy's relatives and a social worker, and all agree Timmy would benefit from a summer on the farm. Jeff acts as Timmy's older brother and shows him the ropes. When Jeff would go to hang out with Porky Timmy would tag along. in the episode Transition, George dies and Ellen sells the farm to Ruth and Paul Martin who adopt Timmy. At the end of the episode Jeff gives Lassie to Timmy and moves with his mother to the city.
